  • Our office is located in Bonita Springs, FL at 9200 Bonita Beach Road SE, Suite 109. Click here for a map.

  • Therapy can be beneficial when you or your child are having difficulty functioning in everyday life or having difficulty adjusting to stressors at school, home, or work. Behavioral issues and big feelings that are difficult to manage are often indicators that therapy could be helpful.

  • The first step is to contact us to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to briefly discuss your needs and see if we would be a good fit. You can call us at (239) 235-0524 or click on the contact us button at the bottom of the page. We look forward to speaking with you and seeing how we can help!

  • If you are seeking therapy for your child the first appointment is just for the parents/caregivers. For both parents and young adults, your therapist will meet with you to review policies and sign consent forms. Then your therapist will take time to get to know you and understand your unique needs. Your therapist will explore with you what you are struggling with but also what is going well for you. At the end of the session a plan for future sessions will be discussed.

  • Therapy can be an overwhelming concept for children. In the intake session, your therapist will guide you through what to say to your child before their first session. You can ease your child’s fears and anxiety by showing them a picture of their therapist and explaining what therapy will be like. (Don’t worry, your therapist will walk you through this).

  • Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes long.

The total length of therapy depends on your unique needs. A treatment plan will be developed collaboratively and the therapist will help you to develop goals to work towards. Some clients need more time than others to work on those goals. Your therapist is there to support you for as long as you need.

  • We ask that you cancel an appointment at least 24 hours in advance. In the event that a scheduled appointment time is missed or cancelled in less than 24 hours, the full fee of the session will be charged. The clinician reserves the right to terminate the counseling relationship if more than 3 sessions are missed without proper notification.

  • I am considered out of network for all insurance providers.

As an out-of-network provider, I can provide you with a monthly superbill that you can use to seek reimbursement for out-of-network services. However, a superbill requires a mental health diagnosis that will become part of the permanent medical record. Please contact your insurance company to verify your out-of-network benefits.

I am better able to serve my clients without the obstacles to treatment that come with insurance companies, which include:

    • Diagnosis requirements

    • Releasing of medical records/lack of control over confidentiality

    • Restrictions on treatment including types of treatment and length of treatment.

  • Yes, Connected Path Counseling and Lauren Donovan, LCSW are approved service providers. This allows you to pay for your child's therapy services directly from their Education Savings Account. Please contact us for more information.

  • For a 50-minute psychotherapy session (individual or family) the fee is $125. If cost is a concern, please contact us. At the very least, we would be happy to provide you with some referrals. We understand that finding a therapist can be a challenging process.
